Antoine Johnson joint ventured with Bittenbender Construction, LP on the renovations and expansion of the Community Partnership School (CPS). The new 60,000+ square foot school will be housed in a long-vacant formal industrial building in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia. Antoine Johnson and Bittenbender have worked effortlessly for the last year with CPS to meet the owners need with their budget. The new school will feature expanded classroom & computer space, taking them from a capacity of around 90 students to that of 220. The additional square footage will have room for programs before and after school, as well as during the summer – creating a community hub. The design also will allow for an outdoor campus that will include greenspace for play and recreation space. The project is being financed primarily through donations to the CPS Capital Campaign, a $ 1 million state grant, and assistance from the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC).
